Looks like he can add “budding superhero” to his already impressive resume! It’s been announced that Evan Peters has been cast as Quicksilver in the latest installment of the X-Men franchise, Days of Future Past”. Director Bryan Singer showed his excitement by posting on Twitter today stating, “Before he was an #Avenger, he was just a REALLY fast kid. Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver.” How exciting!

This film will likely be a heavy contrast to what Evan is used to in his starring roles in “American Horror Story.” The series, which has been renewed for a third season, has gained a cult following and Evan’s characters have been fan favorites from the beginning. From maniacal Tate Langdon in the first season to light-hearted Kit Walker in ‘Asylum’, he’s been a true talent in captivating audiences. We can only hope for the best in his new role of Quicksilver.

X-Men, due out in the summer of 2014, will be the acting sequel to 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand” and 2011’s “X-Men: First Class.” What this means for X-Men movie lovers is that they’ll get to see actors from the older and newer movies in one film (AHHH!). Among the coveted will be Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, and many more. This will definitely be a summer blockbuster that you won’t wanna miss!
