That Had to Hurt: Miguel Jumps Over Crowd and Lands on Fan’s Neck at the Billboard Music Awards

On Sunday, May 19, the 2013 Billboard Music Awards took place in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Miguel was one of the many performers that night, but an accident during his performance of “Adorn” has become a social media sensation with memes already in effect.

Towards the end of Miguel’s performance he decided to do the very rock star thing of jumping into the audience but he intended to just jump over them. Off by a foot, Miguel ended up splitting, junk first, right onto the neck of a fan in the mosh pit crowd.

Of course it was an accident. I’m sure Miguel didn’t intend to injury anyone during his performance; luckily she wasn’t seriously hurt and was able to slide away from the cameras in shame and possibly pain.

I do love how Miguel just kept it moving though and didn’t miss a beat while performing. He even tried to grab a fan, not the girl who had her neck snapped, to try to ease the situation. I mean this is showbiz and the show must always go on.
