Kelly Rowland’s new record “Dirty Laundry” is a prime example that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

In the controversial song, Kelly Rowland opens up about an abusive relationship and her jealousy of former and fellow Destiny’s Child member Beyoncé.

A verse of the song that has everyone buzzing about Kelly’s “Dirty Laundry” is:

“When my sister was on stage killin’ it like a (expletive)/ I was enraged, feelin’ it like a (expletive)/ Bird in a cage/ You would never know what I was dealin’ with/ Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin’ it/ Bittersweet she was up, I was down/ No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now? … Post-Survivor, she on fire/ Who wanna hear my (expletive)?”

Kelly also sings about her past abusive relationship with a guy that she doesn’t name. She talks about being “trapped” and being told no one else loved her but him; very unhealthy.

My Twitter feed is filled with people either praising Kelly Rowland for the song and find it inspirational while others feel Kelly is doing too much and don’t see the point of the song. Now I invite you to be the judge.
