Hold the phone! This is pretty big. Yesterday, there was news circulating that the beloved sitcom, “Friends“, was coming back together for a reunion movie. However, according to the show’s co-creator Marta Kauffman, plans for a 2014 reunion are not happening.

So where did this rumor all begin? The social media world was sent into absolute madness yesterday when this photoshopped movie poster made its way online. When Kauffman heard the “news”, she immediately exclaimed, “I’m going to clear this up- It’s not happening!” Wow. Straight to the point!

She later explains that the show has already had its day and it’s important for fans to cherish that. She would be disappointed if a movie adaptation didn’t do the show’s legacy justice. Jennifer Aniston  has also said that a “Friends” movie wouldn’t “make sense to her”, seeing as it was fitted for that generation of television. She does, however, assert that she feels Rachel Green and Ross Gellar (played by David Schwimmer) are “absolutely, 100% together” as a couple. Aww!

So there you have it. No reunion movie. No reunion special. Nada. But that’s what they always say: all good things come to an end (who is ‘they’ anyway?!?!). Fans shouldn’t fret though. DVD box sets are there for a reason!
