Jaime Foxx will be honored with the Generation Award this Sunday, April 14, at the MTV Movie Awards.
In a statement MTV President Stephen Friedman said, “As a comedian, Academy award-winning actor and Grammy award-winning artist, Jamie Foxx is a triple threat superstar unlike any we’ve seen in a long time.” He continued, “Jamie has captivated audiences for nearly two decades with a dizzying array of memorable performances, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate him at this year’s Movie Awards.”
The “Django Unchained” actor is also nominated for “Best Male Performance,” “Best Fight,” “Best Kiss,” and “Best WTF Moment” at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.
Foxx’s next project will have him portray the president in the upcoming film “White House Down,” also feature Channing Tatum.
