See Which ‘Girls’ Actor Won’t Return For Season 3

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG! I can’t believe this! As a HUGE fan of HBO’s Girls I am particularly bothered by this news!

Christopher Abbott who played Charlie in season one and two of Girls won’t be returning to reprise his role for season three, which is currently being filmed in New York City.

The New York Post confirmed that Christopher decided to leave the show due to creative differences with the star/creator/writer of the Girls series Lena Dunham. “He’s sure the show will continue to do well, but as far as his character, he wasn’t behind where it was going to end up… Chris was reluctant to do the show from the get go. He’s a really great actor, the source material from the beginning was great and he was grateful to Lena,” a source said.

A rep for Chris also stated, ““[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena, Judd[Apatow], and the entire ‘Girls’ cast and crew, but right now he’s working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show.”

I mean Charlie and Marnie JUST got back together and in such a cute way too! Charlie’s company was making it big, I mean damn, this is so messed up. I wonder how Lena Dunham plans to write him off the show? All my Girls fans out there, sound off. Are you sad to see Christopher Abbott leave Girls?
