Beyoncé sure is taking over 2013 already!
Every month so far this year has been HUGE for Mrs. Carter: she sung the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration, she performed the halftime show during the Superbowl, she released a HBO documentary, announced a world tour, debuted a new controversial single and NOW she has teamed up with the fashion brand H & M to promote a new tropical island summer theme collection.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at H&M, announced in an official statement about the special opportunity the brand feels of working with the “Bow Down/I Been On” singer. “What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyonce herself had input in the designs, and they are full of her own personal style,” the Head of Design said.
Beyoncé also shared her excitement about working with the brand. “I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion,” Bey said in the statement. “I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements — fire, water, earth and wind. It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
Oh this sounds like a real cute collection? I may just have to be at the stores when they open to snag this collection as soon as it hits the racks because I KNOW it will go fast! So what about you? Are you excited for a Beyoncé and H & M collaboration?
