Let Me See: Watch Seth MacFarlane’s Oscars Opening Monologue [VIDEO]

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane may just be the best Oscars host ever! Don’t worry Seth, there will be no bad headlines here. The 85th Academy Awards aired live on Sunday, February 24, with Seth giving a very comical opening monologue featuring many of Hollywood’s finest.

Seth opened with a few jokes until William Shatner appeared as “Star Trek’s” Captain Kirk to offer him advice on how to beat the future reviews of his first time hosting gig being bashed. The monologue included clips of Seth going too far with jokes, like his musical number “We Saw Your Boobs,” which I loved, and a sock puppet rendition of “Flight.”

He tried to redeem himself by offering classic Hollywood performances with Charlize Theron, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe helping him along the way. Sally Field even made a special appearance.
