Question of the Day: Did ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Shade Chris Brown and Rihanna?

Hit television show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, SVU is known to base a few of their episodes off major headlines in the news and pop culture. The latest episode “Funny Valentine,” set to air next Wednesday, February 27, at 9pm on NBC, has a very familiar tone to an on-again couple.

The promo for the episode shows domestic violence between two music artists that really don’t look like Chris Brown and Rihanna BUT watching it you get the feeling Law & Order was throwing a little shade about the very public domestic abuse charges brought us against Brown in 2009 after he physically assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna. The episode is even described as, “a promising singer is brutally attacked by her boyfriend, a popular hip-hop star.” Mmmm, seems a little obviously familiar to me. *side eye*
