Photo Op: ‘Girlfriends’ Cast Reunite at Essence Event

I don’t think you all even know how excited I was to see Joan, Toni, Maya and Lynn back together again!

The cast of early 2000’s comedy-drama series Girlfriends, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks and Persia White, were reunited on stage at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon to present Mara Brock Akil with an award for her work on hit television shows The Game and Girlfriends. Girlfriends was the longest-running live-action sitcom on network television in 2007 but sadly came to a series end in 2008.

All the ladies looked great up there presenting that award, especially my cutie Jill, y’all know I love her! Oh how I would LOVE a Girlfriends movie, hell I’ll take a Moesha one as well.
