BHM Spotlight: Shaun Robinson

February is the special month in which we honor and celebrate African-Americans, past and present, for all their accomplishments in a variety of fields: music, television, film, fashion, business and so much more. Here at Glambergirlblog we want to do things a little bit different. Everyday throughout this month we will spotlight some of the glamberous African-Americans in the entertainment industry.

Shaun Robinson is one of the many women I really admire in the entertainment news community. Born in Detroit Michigan and a graduate of Spelman College, Shaun has far surpassed an outstanding career in journalism with no signs of slowing down. Beginning her career in Detroit, Shaun served as a medical and political reporter for both television and radio before crossing over into entertainment news.

The Emmy Award-winning journalist not only entertains and influences on television but she also does so in writing. Shaun is the author of Exactly As I Am: Celebrated Women Share Candid Advice with Today’s Girls on What it Takes to Believe in Yourself; an amazing collection of testimonies on building self-esteem and becoming a leader.

You can find Shaun these days on the red carpet interviewing your favorite celebs as a correspondent and serving as the weekend co-anchor on entertainment news show “Access Hollywood.”

Fun Fact About Shaun Robinson: Before tackling the eventful world of entertainment news Shaun was a medical reporter and earned an Associated Press award for her coverage on women and cancer.
