February is the special month in which we honor and celebrate African-Americans, past and present, for all their accomplishments in a variety of fields: music, television, film, fashion, business and so much more. Here at Glambergirlblog we want to do things a little bit different. Everyday throughout this month we will spotlight some of the glamberous African-Americans in the entertainment industry.

Kevin Hart has proved he’s just not a short guy from Philly with a loud mouth; he actually has something to say. He has successfully earned himself a place for our Black History Month spotlight.

Born on July 3 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hart picked up in knack for stand up comedy by entering and winning several amateur competitions. He’s come a long way from his stand up days. He is known for many of his televised comedy specials and infamous one liners like: “say it with your chest,” “noooo she wasn’t ready,” and “mind your DAMN business.”

Hart even made the transition to television and film. He had roles ranging in small to large in films like “Scary Movie 3,” “Scary Movie 4,” “Think Like A Man,” “Soul Plane,” and “The Five-Year Engagement.” You can find him today on his hit BET show Real Husbands of HollywoodThe show ranked as the highest rated cable television show on Tuesday nights. What a huge accomplishment!

Fun Fact About Kevin Hart: Before making it big he was a shoe salesman in Philadelphia.
