Casting News: Meet Cory and Topanga’s Daughter for ‘Boy Meets World’ spin-off

Boy Meets World lovers everywhere rejoiced when the idea of a spin-off series was in the works. We all did back flips when Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel announced that they signed on to reprise their roles as love birds Cory and Topanga. And now we can celebrate once more BMW fans because the daughter of Corpanga – Cory and Topanga, has been announced.

Entertainment Weekly exclusively revealed 11-year-old Rowan Blanchard as the young actress who will be playing Riley Matthews, the infamous pop culture couple’s child in the Disney channel spin-off Girl Meets World. Michael Jacobs, producer for the series pilot, immediately knew Blanchard was the girl for the job.

“As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews,” Jacobs said. “Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well.”

Production for the pilot is set to begin next month.
