People’s Choice Awards 2013: The Recap

The first award show of the year, People’s Choice Awards 2013 – PCAs, gave awards to fan voted favorite movies, television shows and music. Hosted by The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco – for the second year in a row, the 39th annual festivities took place on Wednesday, January 9 LIVE in Los Anglese at the Nokia Theatre.

The PCAs opened with Cuoco getting advice from LL Cool J on how to be a fierce host which led her to insert herself into a number of popular films (i.e. “The Hunger Games” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2”) gaining advice from the likes of Katniss Everdeen and The Cullens. After that is was time for the awards. Jennifer Aniston looked so gorge as she accepted the first award of the night for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress and all I could think about was, Brad Pitt eat your f-ing heart out.

Awards were handed out left and right with big winners of the night being “The Hunger Games” cast winning five trophies. Jennifer Lawrence won for Favorite Movie Actress along with her co-stars Chris Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. The film won for Favorite Movie, Action Movie and Movie Franchise. Another major award of the night went to Sandra Bullock. Bullock was the first recipient of the Favorite Humanitarian award. But besides all the awards and awkward presenters there was music. Performances of the night included Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys.
