What’s the ingredients to crushing Oscar buzz films like “Django Unchained” and “Les Miserables” at the box office? Well you need blood, gore, a prequel or sequel – however you want to look at it – and apparently R & B singer Trey Songz; that’s a sure way to get the ladies to see this.
To everyone’s surprise “Texas Chainsaw 3D ” landed the number one spot at the box office this weekend bringing in $23 million and making the horror film about the infamous killer Leatherface the biggest selling movie of the year. Although I’m sure that title won’t stick given the major films being released this year i.e “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and “The Great Gatsby.” Check out which other films brought in millions below.
