2012 has been a great year for Glambergirlblog.com! So I’ve decided to start a new tradition; over the next two days we’ll be counting down our top 12 moments of 2012. I don’t like keeping people in suspense so let’s kick things off with part I, numbers 12-7.
12. Tribeca Film Festival 2012 In April the independent films of Hollywood came to NYC. The Tribeca Film Festival is one among the many of film festivals that debut indies and big budget films. I was a volunteer for this year’s festival and was able to get an up close and personal look of how an event of that magnitude was ran.
11. GGB Moves to WordPress.org As Glambergirlblog continues to grow so does our space so it was time that we moved from WordPress.com to WordPress, org. For a little over a year GGB was on WordPress.com and it was truly pleasurable. GGb gained many followers and even got freshly pressed. But as the new year approaches it’s time to move on to a bigger scope.
10. Fun Times at Stacy Igel Fashion Week Show Besides my birthday, Fashion Week in New York City is just about my favorite time of year. Seeing all the fashionable celebrities, designers and stylists gather in the big apple is so exciting. In September I got to sit semi front row at Stacy Igel’s Boy Meets Girl Forever Young show and it was truly a treat seeing Wyclef Jean perform during the show.
9. Glambergirlblog lands a New York Times Photo Hey I made The Times! During New York Fashion Week I landed a photo on The New York Times photo page after camping out Ralph Lauren’s mens fashion show. It was rainy and cold but the photo came out super chic.
8. Glambergilblog on Teen Vogue One of the best things about Fashion Week in New York is that you get photographed a lot and I mean A LOT! If you dress super fab the fashion photographers will flock to you to get their “street style” shot to appear in major online fashion outlets. I got my claim to fame on Teenvogue.com.
7. Glamberously Fab Photoshoot It was time for GGB to get a new look so in August I decided to get some professional photos done from a fellow alumni of Delaware State University. The theme was “street blogging” in the city of Wilmington, Delaware. Inspired with vintage clothing and forms of journalism i.e. a type writer, the shoot was a success and the photos came out fab!
