Trailer Thursday: Gangster Squad

Jammed packed with some of Hollywood’s finest; “Gangster Squad” made the cut for this week’s Trailer Thursday not only for the joy I feel for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone being reunited as lovers again on the big screen but for the action packed trailer that got me so intrigued I just had to share it with all my Glamberous Ones.

“Gangster Squad” is set around the 1940’s -1950’s when crime was at an all time high. The LAPD is trying hard to keep East Coast mafia heads from coming into Los Angeles and basically turning it into ruins. Josh Brolin plays Sgt. John O’Mara, the mastermind in turning some of LA’s best cops; including Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), into crusaders against Mickey Cohen’s (Sean Penn) highly dangerous gang.

In the trailer you see just how powerful Mickey Cohen can be and what the newly formed squad of off duty cops will do to keep him from excelling in power; they have to go to war and that means the body count is high. But don’t worry ladies in the midst of the blood bath we do have a love story. Insert Grace Faraday (Emma Stone), Wooters’ love interest. We get a vague taste into their love affair in the trailer but what I know for sure is a face like Emma’s was born to play a role in this decade. Me-ow!

“Gangster Squad” is in theaters early next year, January 11, 2013. Check out the trailer below.
