In this edition of Trailer Thursday we’ll take a look at “The Words” starring Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, and Dennis Quaid.
The story follows literary writer Rory Jansen, Cooper, who is on a desperate quest to gain accolades in his field. After a very long journey to fame Jansen finally reaches the peak of his career, becomes a household name and has published the next great novel. Sounds peachy right? Hold on to your hats kiddies because here is where it gets rocky.
The thing about Jansen’s superb novel is that he didn’t write it. Throughout the film Jansen deals with this haunting secret and his rising fame. The film centers around the themes of love, ambition, deceit and how your world can come crumbling down from one moment desperation. I see Jansen was absent during the lesson when his teacher told the rest of the class not to plagiarize and always cite your sources.
“The Words” opens in theaters tomorrow, September 7.
