Trailer Thursday: This Is 40!

Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd return to the big screen as their “Knocked Up” characters Debbie and Pete in “This Is 40” as we get a glimpse into their lives years after we first met them.

The girls are grown, the spark in Peter and Debbie’s marriage is dwindling and the couple is on a desperate quest to shake things up and adapt in life as the couple pushes 40 in age. I love that Writer/Director Judd Apatow’s girls were able to reprise their role as the lovable yet sassy daughters of Pete and Debbie. They were the cutest in “Knocked Up” and it’s going to be funny to see their interaction with their fictional parents now that they are dealing with more big girl issues.

In the trailer for the film we see Pete and Debbie having several conversations about how to kill each other, Debbie becoming very conscious of her age and the overall ups and downs of adulthood. If the film is anything like “Knocked Up” it will be very funny.

Jason Segal, Megan Fox and Melissa McCarthy are also some familiar faces in the film. “This Is 40” hits theaters December 21, 2012
