Apple TV+ Series ‘Severance’ Will Leave Your Mind Racing And Wanting More

What if you could completely split your memories between your professional and personal life. When you are at home you have no recollection of anything that happened at work and vice versa. In theory, it seems not too bad if you have a crappy home life or hate your job, but how would the person stuck in a constant rut feel? That’s the idea behind Apple TV+ brilliant series Severance.

From Ben Stiller and creator Dan Erickson, Severance premiered back in mid-February and stars Adam Scott as Mark S., a cheery team leader to a small group of workers for the Lumon corporation in the Macrodata Refinement division department tasked with sorting encrypted numbers. The workers in the building are part of an experimental “work-life balance” trial where a chip is surgically implanted to divide their memories between their work and personal lives. The “innies” (the work-life persona) have no clue who the “outies” (the personal life persona) are or would even recognize their co-workers in the “real world.” It’s a mind fuck of a show and thankfully got renewed for season 2!

Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken make up the outstanding cast and I can’t boast this show enough! If you’re into sci-fi/mystery type shows then this will be right up your alley. I binged the show over the weekend and became completely hooked! Each episode will leave you on the edge of your seat by the end and the season finale literally had me up out of my resting position. It’s really so good.
