First thing to know about me before I get into this movie trailer is that I love Aubrey Plaza. This year I got into Parks and Recreation and fell in love with her character April Ludgate. That spiraled into watching movies I’ve seen her in before but never really paid attention to her performances and discovering her filmography as a whole. Plain and simple: I’m obsessed and will watch anything she’s in.
Plaza stars in “Black Bear” alongside Christopher Abbott and Sarah Gadon as a filmmaker seeking inspiration by going to a remote lake house in the Adirondack Mountains. From the trailer it appears a throuple situation is going to occur and the viewers will be placed in a movie within a movie plot. What is real and what is scripted is up for debate. The Official Selection 2020 movie from the Sundance Film Festival was written and directed by Lawrence Michael Levine. I love a good psychological thriller and this film left me confused about what’s really going on. I’m pretty sure this will be a film that I’ll actually rent when it becomes available.
“Black Bear” comes to video on demand December 4, 2020. Watch the trailer for “Black Bear” in the clip below. Are you totally mind boggled by this trailer? Share your thoughts in the comments.
