Golden Globes Nominations Cause Some Upsets From Snubs

The nominations for the 2018 Golden Globes are in and while some are celebrating this year’s contenders, some are shocked to see some promising projects and actors/actresses that didn’t make the list.

On Monday, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 75th annual award ceremony that will take place early next month celebrating the best in television and film. Big Little Lies, Feud: Bette and Joan, This Is Us, Fargo, and The Handmaid’s Tale dominated the television categories with The Post, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, The Greatest Showman, All the Money in the World, Dunkirk, and I, Tonya earned nods for the movies categories.

The biggest snubs came in the Best Director category with no women being nominated. Many felt Girls Trip actress Tiffany Haddish deserved some resignation and Get Out’s Jordan Peele as well.

Seth Meyers hosts the 2018 Golden Globes airing January 7th on NBC.
