On Friday Amber Rose began a trending topic to something she’s not unfamiliar with. She posted a semi-nude photo of herself wearing a black bikini top, black shades, and a black, shaggy fur coat while exposing her public hair wearing no bottoms. The talk show host, author, and proclaimed feminist was laying on some steps looking very unbothered in promotion for her annual The Amber Rose Slutwalk.

If you have no clue what The Amber Rose Slutwalk is I’ll fill you in with the radio version. The festival type event launched in 2014 as an effort to put to rest slut shaming and give women a platform to embrace their sexuality in a judge free zone. The third annual event takes place this fall in Downtown Los Angeles on September 30th – October 1st.

After Instagram deleted her image, Rose went on to post a video with the caption, “When IG deletes ur fire ass feminist post but you really don’t give a fuck because everyone picked it up already #amberroseslutwalk #bringbackthebush 😍.”

Now no shade, I’m all for women expressing their sexuality. It’s no shame or blame in that. Showing off your body isn’t a big thing. We all got the same thing just in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. It’s yours, do what you want, but when you do you should be prepared for the backlash and Amber Rose was.

She encouraged the web to repost a photo of themselves mimicking her photo starting the #AmberRoseChallenge. Of course her Rosebuds, her fandom, quickly joined in on the movement leading for the model to repost a bunch of the photos. With the first photo she reposted she said, “Amber Rose challenge anyone? Lol 😂 post your version of my picture and hashtag #AmberRoseChallenge behalf of feminism, body positivity and not conforming to society norms of how we should live, what we should wear and where we should shave 🙄.”
