Luke Evans and Josh Gad Belt “Gaston” In New ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Clip

Nobody does it quite like Gaston and in the new clip from the live action version of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” you can see exactly why.

Luke Evans will be playing the role as the infamous Gaston and Josh Gad will be playing his delightful sidekick LeFou. In the “Gaston” clip from Disney, LeFou is literally singing the praises of his buddy to the townspeople as they lend helpful vocals as an ensemble chorus.

“Gaston” is one of the more over the top numbers from the Disney film, right after “Be Our Guest” of course, but I’m not sure how this version measures up. Gad as LeFou is pretty much on point without a doubt, but while Evans certainly looks the part of the handsome Gaston his vocals don’t hold up; at least in this clip. The 1991 hit from the soundtrack featuring Jesse Corti and Richard White is so dramatic and burly on Gaston’s end and I want that in my Gaston. I need it. You tell me what you think though.
