This weekend’s Saturday Night Live opened up on somber yet beautiful note. In the wake of the presidential election results and the news of musician Leonard Cohen’s passing, the people over at SNL combined the two in a perfect way.

Kate McKinnon, dressed as one of her most noted SNL characters – Hillary Clinton, played the piano and sung Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” arguably his most famous piece of work. After the beautiful rendition, McKinnon turned to the camera with encouraging words to America.
