We live in the age of social media and technology where little to nothing is sacred anymore, so that means you better watch your back and what you say because you never know what will be recorded and used against you. Case in point, the latest drama between Mr. & Mrs. West vs. Taylor Swift.

If you haven’t heard Kanye West‘s song “Famous” by know please get out from under the rock you live in and take a listen. There’s a now infamous line that says “For all my Southside niggas that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, Why? I made that bitch famous, God damn, I made that bitch famous.”

When the song was initially released, Kanye defended the line to people who were upset about it saying he and Taylor had a talk and she was OK with it. Swift and her team later bashed the song saying Swift did not approve that line. A few months later Kim Kardashian West did an interview with GQ saying Swift indeed approved the line and she had video proof of exactly how the situation went down. The Swift team still denied, but on Sunday, July 17th, following an episode of KUWTK which focused on the back and forth of the situation, KK decided to shut everything down and released video footage on her Snapchat of that very conversation about the “Famous” line.

The internet exploded and immediately attacked Taylor calling her a liar and putting snake emojis on social media to comment on the drama. But wait, there’s more. Just when you thought Taylor would take the L, she took to Instagram to make a statement shortly after Kim K Snapped the video.

Swift captioned the Instagram photo/note, “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the internet.” The lengthy statement read, “Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world.”

She continues to insist she didn’t hear the song in context before it was released and that she doesn’t want to be painted a liar. It’s all just very messy at this point.
