Beyoncé made a rare appearance at the 2016 BET Awards, because we all know she stopped showing up to these functions, to perform her powerful track “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar from her latest chart-topping album Lemonade.

The singer took a page out of her Formation tour book while performing the song in a pool of water with her dancers on a simple backdrop filled with pyrotechnics throughout. Kendrick later emerged from below stage to rap his verse on the track, but did an ad lib flow beforehand.  Kendrick later joined Bey in the pool for a splash fight in which one Twitter user jokingly pointed out that Beyoncé  just baptized the rapper. The Beyhive man.
