Well it’s official. If there was any confusion as to what Twenty 88 really was, Big Sean and Jhene Aiko explained the exact moment the new music group was formed in a new exclusive interview with Flaunt magazine.

In the summer of 2015, the two began talking about working on a joint album, they teamed up previously on Sean’s Hall of Fame and Dark Sky Paradise album’s. Being established in their own careers, it was the perfect time for the two to create an entire body of work inspired by ’90’s R&B and ’70’s experimental rock/soul.

The body of work in it’s entirety tells the story about a couple that will give a visual to match. The short film will star Sean and Jhene as adult film stars. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say we will collectively be getting pregnant. Some on the tracks range from melancholy to very explicit.

“On the Way” is about being on your way to that special someone, while “Two-Minute Warning,” featuring K-Ci and JoJo, is the most sexually explicit song on Twenty88. Did I mention how ready I am for this album? Along with the new music debuting Friday, April 1, the duo will perform for the first time together under the name Twenty88 on Jimmy Kimmel Live this Thursday, March 31.
