At Paleyfest LA this past weekend the cast of FOX’s beloved series Scream Queens gathered to talk about the past season, horror films, and dish on details for the second season.

In January, it was revealed that Scream Queens season 2 would be set in a hospital. Gary Newman, a representative from FOX, said, “It’s going to take place in a hospital and explore some of the most interesting medical fascinomas. This is something Ryan Murphy loves and had a lot of fun with on Nip/Tuck, and he, Brad [Falchuk] and Ian [Brennan] are going to infuse that sensibility on Scream Queens.” Yet the question remained, would our favs return for the new season? Pretty much everybody audiences really loved is returning.

Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Billie Lourd, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, Niecy Nash, and Jamie Lee Curtis are all back, YAY, for more killer drama and humor. According to Jarett Wieselman, Buzzfeed News, Entertainment Editor, who was at the Paleyfest panel, tweeted all the details fans can expect for the upcoming season.

He tweeted that Dean Munsch (Curtis) takes on the health care profession and buys a hospital. Zayday (Palmer) graduates school early and is training under Munch. The Chanels (Roberts, Breslin, and Lourd) get the “Making A Murderer treatment” and are released from the psychiatric hospital they were placed in at the end of season 1. They are now studying to be doctors. That should be interesting. Denise Hemphill (Nash) is now a FBI agent and will be sent to the hospital to handle things when murders start happening. There’s a new killer in season 2 and Hester (Michele) will be “intimately involved” with the killer. Three “hot doctors” will also be joining the cast, although no word of casting has been revealed. Damn, Earl Grey would have made such a hot doctor with that accent. RIP.

Noticeably missing from Paleyfest was cast member Skyler Samuels, who had a big role in the first season and played Grace Gardner. It seems Grace and her caps won’t be returning for the next season. On Instagram, she shared a photo of the title for Scream Queens season 2 with the caption, “So happy for my sister slayers who are gonna kill it in season 2! Can’t wait to see what scary stories are in store.”

What do you think about the new details for Scream Queens season 2? Are you excited? Share your thoughts in the comments.
