Keke Palmer wrapped a week of press for her latest single “Enemiez” in New York City when she stopped by AOL Build for a live interview with Senior News Editor of Huff Post Entertainment Leigh Blickley. Lucky me, I had the privilege to be in the building.
During the sit down, the always bubbly and optimistic 22-year-old dished on everything from her experience doing Grease Live!, her favorite musical, “Crybaby” – GREAT choice, the concept behind her latest single, and why acting in taking a backseat for the moment. “Acting is a major part of my life, but I feel like I might focus on the music for a while,” she said.
But music won’t be the focus if she appears in the second season of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens. There hasn’t been word if her character Zayday will return, but the cast will appear at PaleyFest LA tomorrow for a panel discussion about the series. Maybe there it will be revealed if Palmer is set to return.
Throughout the rest of the chat, Palmer shared wisdom on maintaining in the industry, being true to herself in her new music, and more. During the end of the interview there was time for audience questions and of course I had to chat with my Virgo sista for a bit.
