“Welcome To Litchfield,” as if we haven’t been there before, is the tagline for the upcoming season of Orange is the New Black set for a June 17 release date on Netflix.
At the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, CA, Netflix announced its plans for season 4 of the award-winning original series. “Because [Season 3] ends with the overcrowding in the prison, you do push all the groups together and the alliances that happen are unexpected,” Blair Brown said during the TCAs. Brown plays Judy King, a new inmate that was introduced towards the end of season 3.
Series creator Jenji Kohan chimed in at the panel chat saying, “We’re always trying to make new combinations. It’s so exciting to watch these women perform [so] we’re trying to keep it interesting for ourselves too. We’re always looking for that.”
