It’s that moment of year again when Time magazine names its 100 “Most Influential People”. The 2015 list includes some of the biggest names, naturally, in entertainment such as: Kim Kardashian West, Taylor Swift, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Hart, and Kanye West, who is one of five who landed their own cover.

As always the Time list recognizes “the titans, pioneers, artists, icons and leaders who are shaping the future.” Honorees this year include: Reese Witherspoon, Emma Watson, Chris Pratt, Julianne Moore, Tim McGraw, Julianna Margulies, Amy Schumer, Laverne Cox, Bjork, Diane von Furstenberg, Lorne Michaels, Lee Daniels, Alexander Wang, President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Pope Francis, and Malala Yousafzai.

Just like in the past, each write-up of an influential people is penned by someone who admires them. Taylor Swift wrote about an idol of her, Ina Garten, while Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit actress Mariska Hargitay wrote about Swift saying, “Along with her staggering list of accomplishments, perhaps the most exciting thing about Taylor is that she’s just getting started with what she plans to mine from her fierce, curious, boundlessly talented and beautiful heart. Also, it doesn’t hurt that she named her cat after me.”

Martha Stewart spoke about “the first lady of #fame” calling Kim Kardashian West, “Beautiful in an exotic, totally exaggerated way, Kim exudes energy, sexuality, drama, determination, impetuousness and happiness. But she and her famous, entrepreneurial siblings — shepherded by a savvy, tireless matriarch — have also expanded the very definition of family.”

Of course Kanye West was named a “boundary breaker” and was described as ” the first person to tell you he belongs on this list,” Elon Musk said, adding “The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t. Kanye’s belief in himself and his incredible tenacity — he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut — got him to where he is today.”
