Hello and welcome to the 2nd edition of Philly’s Phinest; an interview series showcasing young entrepreneurs in my hometown of Philadelphia, PA.

Over the month of August I brought you exclusives interviews with: Curran J of Kings Rule TogetherTyrone Dixon and Dayron Bowers of LITM Marketing Group, Kate Marlys of Philly PR Girl, and Yolanda Keels-Walker of Suite Extensions Salon and Pink Label Beauty. Today, Philly’s Phinest 2014 wraps with Vanessa Busch aka Viva La’ Veese of Viva La’ Dance.

Viva La’ Dance is an eighteen and older “flirty fitness experience” located in the West Philadelphia area of the city. The dance studio aims to allow women to “regain confidence, build sex appeal, spice up a relationship and get the body you always wanted.” Viva La’ Veese offers flirty fitness services including: Mommy & Me Fitness, Ass & Abs (a sexy workout without heels), Burlesque, Body Language 101 (a beginner’s class), Striptease, and Chairdance.

Vanessa Busch fell in love with dance at age eleven and built her own business with no professional training and a goal in mind to bring together women like her.

“I decided to start Viva La’ Dance because of my own personal testimony. I have a daughter who is five she’ll be six and I use to dance all the time but after I had her I was, I went into postpartum depression because I didn’t feel like myself anymore…I didn’t have the body I had before and I went into a really, really dark hole,” the choreographer said. She then explained how being a mother transformed the way she danced and how she embraced the new stage in her life.

Busch later revealed her dance inspirations to be Laurieann Gibson and Kimmie G then explained the sexual nature of her dance routines. “Where I get the inspiration for my sexy routines would have to be um my celibacy and the reason why is because I am, due to me not partaking in anything sexual I like to put my frustrations and my imagination into that and I leave it on the dance floor,” Busch said.

She added, “So a lot of my routines happen to be very sexy, very sexual and I like that because I like to tap into the feminine side of women.” My interview with Viva La’ Veese continued with the discussion of highs and lows of being an entrepreneur and the future for her company.
