America’s Next Top Model cycle 3 runner up Camara “Yaya” DaCosta Alafia has been cast to star as iconic singer Whitney Houston in the Lifetime’s biopic set to premiere in 2015.
The Angela Bassett directed film will follow the early career of Houston and showcase the up and down relationship Houston had with ex-husband, R & B singer Bobby Brown.
Yaya previously landed acting roles in All My Children, Ugly Betty, House, “In Time” and “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.”
