Lea Michele, FOX and the ‘Glee’ Cast Speak Out on Cory Monteith’s Tragic Death

News shook Hollywood today over the death of Glee actor Cory Monteith.

The body of Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson on Glee, was found in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday, July 13. Since news broke Hollywood has been spreading their condolences on social media including FOX and the Glee cast.

FOX executives posted on Twitter, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person.” They continued, “He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

Glee cast mates like Dot Marie Jones and Josh Sussman and guest stars like Kristin Chenoweth, Cheyenne Jackson, NeNe Leakes and John Stamos all took to Twitter to share their grief.

Thoughts also went out to Monteith’s serious girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele. The actress broke her silence by having her rep release a statement on her behalf saying, “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.”
