TV Time: Girls Season 2 Trailer

I am obsessed beyond obsessed with HBO’s hit series Girls created, starring, and often written/directed by new it funny girl Lena Dunham; who just might be my 2013 girl crush, sorry K Stew.

I heard nothing but great things about the show but didn’t get hooked until one late night I saw the first season being promoted On Demand. I decided to give the critically acclaimed program a chance and watched the first episode. After that! My life was forever changed! I zipped through season one in no time and became a fan.

Girls is being said to be a next generation Sex and the City but Lena Dunham perfectly described the show as being the reality of what girls moving to New York imagined life would be after watching Sex and the City and having things turn out so wrong; which I can ONE HUNDRED PERCENT relate to.

Dunham stars a Hannah Horvath, a strong-willed yet vulnerable twenty something writer trying to make her way in New York. Hannah’s BFF and roommate Marnie Michaels (Allison Williams) is the uptight, pragmatic one with a boyfriend. Jessa Johansson (Jemima Kirke), my next fav after Hannah, is the free-spirited Brit who just came back to town to live with her quirky cousin Shoshanna ‘Shos’ Shapiro (Zosia Mamet.)

The show is on prime time HBO so it is intended for mature audiences and is filled with so many laughs and heart touching moments. If there is any show you need to get hooked on it’s this for sure! I can’t do a synopsis justice on how GREAT the first season was so catch it On Demand now!
